Was ist die E3?
Die Electronic Entertainment Expo, kurz E3, ist eine jährliche, geschlossene Fachmesse für Videospiele, die seit fast 20 Jahren in Los Angeles, USA, stattfindet. Jedes Jahr wird sie von tausenden Journalisten und anderen in der Industrie tätigen Menschen besucht und ist der wichtigste Termin im Jahr, wenn man sich für Videospiele interessiert. Die größten Publisher und Konsolenhersteller stellen hier ihre Produkte vor und man wird in der Woche der E3 von Videospiel-News nahezu überrollt.
Wann findet die E3 statt?
Die E3 findet dieses Jahr vom 11. bis zum 13. Juni im Los Angeles Convention Center statt. An diesen Tagen haben Fachjournalisten die Möglichkeit zahlreiche Titel des Weihnachtsgeschäfts anzuspielen und sich mit Menschen der Industrie zu unterhalten. Bevor die E3 offiziell losgeht, gibt es die alljährlichen Pressekonferenzen. Der Großteil wird über das Internet gestreamt und findet erst kurz vor der E3 selbst, meist am Montag, statt. Näheres dazu unten.
Was kann ich mir von der E3 erwarten?
Dieses Jahr kann und wird sehr viel passieren. Microsoft und Sony bringen diesen Herbst ihre neuen Konsolen heraus und wir wissen zu beiden noch nicht allzu viel. Viele Fragen die offen sind, werden im Läufe der Messe geklärt werden, aber dennoch werden nicht alle beantwortet werden. Zwar ist die E3 die größte Fachmesse für Videospiele, aber bis die XBOX ONE und die PS4 auf den Markt kommen ist es noch eine ganze Weile hin und die beiden Firmen möchten strategisch ihre Informationen preisgeben. Einerseits, um die Konsumenten noch ein wenig „hypen“ zu können und andererseits, weil man nicht zu viele Informationen vor der Konkurrenz preisgeben will. Apropos Preis: Man sollte grundsätzlich nicht davon ausgehen, dass wir hier Informationen wie Preis und Erscheinungsdatum der Konsolen bekommen.
Weiters werden wir dieses Jahr auch sehr viel zu neuen Spielen erfahren. Eine neue Konsolengeneration startet bald oder ist teilweise bereits gestartet und am Ende zählen bei Konsolen immer die Spiele. Es wird von Sony, Microsoft und Nintendo einige neue Titel geben, auf die man sich freuen kann und die 3rd Party Publisher wie Ubisoft werden sicherlich auch noch die ein oder andere Überraschung haben.
Ja, ja. Das weiß ich doch schon alles. Bin ja nicht bescheuert. Aber was ist mit Nintendo? Ich dachte die wären dieses Jahr nicht auf der E3?
Das ist inkorrekt. Nintendo wird auch dieses Jahr Teil der E3 sein. Sie haben ihre eigene Fläche gemietet und ihre Spiele den Journalisten präsentieren. Nintendo wird dieses Jahr aber keine Pressekonferenz abhalten, welche im Regelfall um 18:00 Uhr MEZ am Dienstag stattfindet. Stattdessen wird Nintendo 2 kleinere Veranstaltungen haben. Eine für die Presse und eine für Händler. Beide werden nicht gestreamt werden, aber es wird außerdem noch eine spezielle „E3 Nintendo Direct“ geben, welche aufgebaut wie eine normale Nintendo Direct den gleichen Informationsgehalt wie eine Pressekonferenz haben wird. Ankündigungen wird es deshalb nicht weniger geben und Nintendo wird immer noch auf der Messe selbst sein.

Was ist die E3?
Die Electronic Entertainment Expo, kurz E3, ist eine jährliche, geschlossene Fachmesse für Videospiele, die seit fast 20 Jahren in Los Angeles, USA, stattfindet. Jedes Jahr wird sie von tausenden Journalisten und anderen in der Industrie tätigen Menschen besucht und ist der wichtigste Termin im Jahr, wenn man sich für Videospiele interessiert. Die größten Publisher und Konsolenhersteller stellen hier ihre Produkte vor und man wird in der Woche der E3 von Videospiel-News nahezu überrollt.
Wann findet die E3 statt?
Die E3 findet dieses Jahr vom 11. bis zum 13. Juni im Los Angeles Convention Center statt. An diesen Tagen haben Fachjournalisten die Möglichkeit zahlreiche Titel des Weihnachtsgeschäfts anzuspielen und sich mit Menschen der Industrie zu unterhalten. Bevor die E3 offiziell losgeht, gibt es die alljährlichen Pressekonferenzen. Der Großteil wird über das Internet gestreamt und findet erst kurz vor der E3 selbst, meist am Montag, statt. Näheres dazu unten.
Was kann ich mir von der E3 erwarten?
Dieses Jahr kann und wird sehr viel passieren. Microsoft und Sony bringen diesen Herbst ihre neuen Konsolen heraus und wir wissen zu beiden noch nicht allzu viel. Viele Fragen die offen sind, werden im Läufe der Messe geklärt werden, aber dennoch werden nicht alle beantwortet werden. Zwar ist die E3 die größte Fachmesse für Videospiele, aber bis die XBOX ONE und die PS4 auf den Markt kommen ist es noch eine ganze Weile hin und die beiden Firmen möchten strategisch ihre Informationen preisgeben. Einerseits, um die Konsumenten noch ein wenig „hypen“ zu können und andererseits, weil man nicht zu viele Informationen vor der Konkurrenz preisgeben will. Apropos Preis: Man sollte grundsätzlich nicht davon ausgehen, dass wir hier Informationen wie Preis und Erscheinungsdatum der Konsolen bekommen.
Weiters werden wir dieses Jahr auch sehr viel zu neuen Spielen erfahren. Eine neue Konsolengeneration startet bald oder ist teilweise bereits gestartet und am Ende zählen bei Konsolen immer die Spiele. Es wird von Sony, Microsoft und Nintendo einige neue Titel geben, auf die man sich freuen kann und die 3rd Party Publisher wie Ubisoft werden sicherlich auch noch die ein oder andere Überraschung haben.
Ja, ja. Das weiß ich doch schon alles. Bin ja nicht bescheuert. Aber was ist mit Nintendo? Ich dachte die wären dieses Jahr nicht auf der E3?
Das ist inkorrekt. Nintendo wird auch dieses Jahr Teil der E3 sein. Sie haben ihre eigene Fläche gemietet und ihre Spiele den Journalisten präsentieren. Nintendo wird dieses Jahr aber keine Pressekonferenz abhalten, welche im Regelfall um 18:00 Uhr MEZ am Dienstag stattfindet. Stattdessen wird Nintendo 2 kleinere Veranstaltungen haben. Eine für die Presse und eine für Händler. Beide werden nicht gestreamt werden, aber es wird außerdem noch eine spezielle „E3 Nintendo Direct“ geben, welche aufgebaut wie eine normale Nintendo Direct den gleichen Informationsgehalt wie eine Pressekonferenz haben wird. Ankündigungen wird es deshalb nicht weniger geben und Nintendo wird immer noch auf der Messe selbst sein.
