Eben angekündigt.
Fand Fight 4 New York auf der PS2 damals genial, aber der letze Teil war ja eher nicht so toll.
May 28, 2009 - Developer 4mm Games and Def Jam Interactive announced today Def Jam Rapstar, a title designed to appeal to fans of music and, more specifically, hip-hop music and culture. 4mm was just recently made public, a studio started up by Rockstar Games founders Jamie King and Gary Foreman as well as Nicholas Perrett, formerly of Image Metrics. We had a chance to speak with Perrett, who serves as 4mm's CEO, as well as Def Jam Interactive's VP of Marketing Lauren Wirtzer to get a little background and some details on the game before it's shown off at E3 2009, which starts up next week.
"There are not very many products out there that speak directly to the hip-hop consumer base," said Wirtzer. "More than just a music game, this is a game that really incorporates all of the crucial elements of this lifestyle. It's not just about music, it's about swagger."
So what does that mean?
Perrett responded. "I think, at the highest level, we're trying to make a game that appeals to a very broad audience of anyone who has really enjoyed hip-hop music at any point in the last 30 years. That's a really important thing for all of those fans out there who don't have a hip-hop game that can encompass that breadth of music across that whole period, all the way through to right this second what's coming out. Even stuff that'll be coming out at the very same time the game is coming out."
