Acclaim confirms Xbox Live support for Criterion's blistering arcade racer
In a games industry which seems increasingly to have lost its soul, Criterion's Burnout series is a breath - no, make that a 200mph gust - of fresh air, with its rock solid, purist arcade leanings, and simple but highly effective emphasis on fun.
There's very little to match the raw adrenaline rush offered by the PS2 version of Burnout 2, but port-hungry Xbox owners now have even more to get excited about with Acclaim confirming online support for the game.
Sadly, this does not include full online play - give 'em chance! - but what you do get is access to over 60 online hi-score tables, so you can compare your best scores, times and crash stats with players across the globe. The competitive thrills of an arcade delivered direct to your living room. We approve.
