Sony bekommt eigenes Spiel im Gears of War Universum???

Half way through this podcast hosted by Zdmedia.net they touch base on the Sony & Epic deal. It is stated that Epic and Sony might be working on a PS3 game that deals with the Gears of War universe not necessarily Gears of War 2. The deal that Sony and Epic signed was a multi-part deal, so there could be other things besides the UT3 exclusivity deal.

ne Bereicherung für die Ps3 wäre es aber alle mal, denn Gears ist im Mainstream bekannt...


Aber ich schätze Epic bastelt Sony nen Komplett neues Game...

MS wird sicherlich nicht zulassen, das die PS3 mit etwas Geld verdient und Kunden gewinnt was Sie(MS) teuer bezahlt haben..

Die Rechte von Gears of War gehören zwar Epic, aber das Spiel ist immer noch eine Auftragsarbeit von MS, und die werden es nicht zulassen das das Spiel, das wahrscheinlich in die Fussstapfen von Halo tretten soll, sich auf einer anderen konsole breit macht.
Ich denke da hat sich MS schon vertraglich abgesichert.

Epic gehört wahrscheinlich gerade zu den glücklichsten Entwicklern, die UE3 läuft super auf den Markt, haben über 4mill. GoW einheiten verkauft und nun klopft noch Sony an dir Tür.

Edit: Soll ich mal nen Topic zum neuen Kojima Prod. Game aufmachen? Kojima Prod. macht nen neues Ps3 Game. Nicht ZoE3...vielleicht das Game, was Kojima schon immer mal machen wollte?

Ich gebs zu, ich hab GoW auf der 360 geliebt. Ein absolut geniales Spielerlebnis. Und wenn Epic die PS3 mit einer eigenen Serie in diesem Universum beschenken will, werde ich den Teufel tun und es ablehnen.

Rumours have been flying fast and furious since 1UP's speculation on a number of podcasts that Epic Games had plans to extend the Gears of War franchise onto the PlayStation 3. Understandably, the comments made in the podcast created somewhat of a storm in a teacup, with many Xbox 360 fans rather unhappy with Epic's apparently lackadaisical approach to exclusivity.

However, Epic's Mark Rein recently contacted PSX Extreme to clarify the situation. In short? Bollocks.

Being blunt, Rein said that the rumour was "complete nonsense". Leaving no room for doubt, he added, "We've shot down this Gears of War on PS3 idea about a hundred times already - Microsoft is the publisher of Gears of War. Unless Microsoft wants to publish it on PS3 then it won't be published on PS3."

Interestingly however, Rein also said that Epic only has two IPs under development - Gears of War for the PC and Unreal Tournament 3. Where this sits in relation to his very recent comments about Gears of War for the Mac remains a little unclear. It's quite possible that the project to port Gears may be further down the line, suggesting that Mac users shouldn't hold their breath. At least not unless they like blacking out.
