GTA 2 the movie

was nur wenige hardcore freaks wie ich wissen, es gibt einen gta film offiziell von rockstar, teile davon sind im intro von gta 2 zusammengeschnippelt

so, ok das war ein kleiner anfang.. wenn ich nicht der einzige rockstar fanboy hier bin werd ich bald noch viel viel mehr schreiben

Rockstar Games, meine absoluten Lieblingsentwickler. Finde ihre Spiele einfach nur herrlich anders und abwechslungsreich.

Ausserdem kann man wohl behaupten, dass sie sich die größte Mühe geben, was Details angeht. Und damit meine ich nicht die Grafik. Aber wenn man sich die Entwicklung der GTA Reihe anschaut, müsste jeder verstehen, was ich meine: Anspielungen auf Filme und Persönlichkeiten, hunderte Eastereggs, geniale Soundtracks die kein anderer Entwickler so hinbekommt (in True Crime z.B. klingt ist der Soundtrack zwar lizensiert, klingt aber irgendwie lieblos zusammengewürfelt...), genialer Humor und noch vieles mehr.

Auch die ganzen Websites zu Produkten, die im Spiel auftauchen/erwähnt werden. Wo gibt es sowas sonst? Dafür liebe ich Rockstar.

ich liebe Rockstar auch... ist halt die "etwas andere" Spiele-Schmiede, die selbst vor den übelsten Settings nicht zurückschreckt, siehe Manhunt oder Bully


also ersteinmal... GTA finde ich göttlich, besonders Vice City
ein neuer GTA-Teil (ein "richtiger", kein Spinoff wie LCS) hat für mich fast denselben Stellenwert wie ein neues Metal Gear Solid oder Zelda :o

The Warriors finde ich absolut genial... IMO eine der besten Filmumsetzungen ever, hinter Blade Runner und Goldeneye für mich an Platz 3

Bully (weiss jetzt nicht wie das Game neuerdings heisst ) finde ich superinteressant, besonders das Setting ist Rockstar-typisch mal wieder was völlig anderes als der sonstige Einheitsbrei den man gewohnt ist

Manhunt... natürlich nichts für Kinderhände, aber ich liebe das Game... das Setting erinnert mich an The Running Man, einen meiner Lieblingsfilme... und in Sachen Athmopshäre ist es für mich neben Silent Hill 1 das krasseste Videospiel aller Zeiten

omg, die Stund-Videos sind ja oberkrass! Als ViceCity-Freak find ich Rockstar als inovative Spieleschmiede! Auch Granaten wie Manhunt, Max Payne II & II haben echt zu überzeugen gewusst. Finds nur schade das es auf den Nintendo Konsolen kein GTA gibt ;( Aber wer weis, bald kommt ja der Wii...

ich bin gespannt in was für einer ära das nächste gta spielen wird. vermute aber, dass es wieder ein aktuelles wird. danach kommen imho wieder 60er bzw. 70 jahre.

erstmal, schön das ich nicht der einzigste bin

so jedenfalls will ich noch mal was zu gta 2 schreiben, also gta 2 ist mein lieblings topdown gta, war auch das erste gta das ich gespielt hat und mich zum rockstar (damals auch noch dma design) fanboy gemacht.. vielleicht wars auch midtown madness

naja auf jeden fall ist gta 2 das imho interessanteste gta vom setting her, wer sich näher mit der materie beschäftigt der erkennt in gta 2 eine mischung aus cyberpunk und retro futurismus im design der stadt und auch bei den artworks

man könnte jetzt spekulieren das gta 4 das gleiche setting haben wird weil: gta 1 beinhaltete die städte liberty city, vice city und san andreas (gta london war ja nur ein add on) und dann kam gta 2... später wurden dann die städte aus gta 1 geremaked und einzeln verkauft (gta 3 - liberty, gta vice city - vice city, gta san andreas - san andreas) so, wenn jetzt gta 4 kommt und rockstar weiterhin städte remaked könnte es doch gut möglich sein das wie sozusagen ein remake des settings von gta 2 bekommen oder?

ein anderer aspekt der mir bei gta 2 gefällt ist die story, wenn man auf www.gta2.com geht > auf die uhr > journal findet man u.a. 3 kapitel text zur story von gta 2

Chapter One - What's Going On
Wednesday 11.30pm
Some Dive in Caymen, Anywhere, USA.
I never wanted this case, but then who would? I've been here for three days now, and am no closer to knowing the who, why, what of the matter than I was three days before. And then, I knew nothing. All I knew is I was put on a plane and told to sort things out. And here I am. Sorting things out. Sorting what out? Well, I don't know, all I was told was to come to the city and look into the Zaibatsu, and see what I could find. But everyone knows about the Zaibatsu. It's like saying go and find out about the sun. Everyone knows about Play Drugs. Hell, I even do Zoom Zoom myself. I don't know about the wrongs and rights of the thing. I ain't here to make moral judgements. Just do my job and get the hell out of here. Only, I don't know what my job is. So, I've done a little research. Same as usual, bribed a cop, got the files, had a glance through, a stiff drink , a couple of beni-proto-quadrcyclonals and waited for the apocalypse, only nothing happened. I must be getting' stale. When you can't even get high, you know you're getting' stale. That's what daddy used to say to me, and he died of liver failure at the age of thirty eight, so he ought to know. So here I am, using drugs to try to investigate the makers of the drugs, kind of like a wine taster trying to solve the case of disappearing wine. Don't know much about these Zaibatsu dudes, but they make damn fine play drugs. But anyway, back to the matter at hand, which is now in my mouth and it ain't bad. Zoom Zoom certainly is finer stuff than BPQCs, no wonder Zaibatsu are cleaning up. The first leisure pharmacist and still the best. The Zaibatsu Corporation, eh? Well, I've un-earthed a few things about them, but it's very much dirt free earth, I guess. And when the earth ain't dirty, then what the hell is? Just a few adverts for Zoom Zoom, and their other play stuff and nothin' else. Hmm, well not really, the big wigs are a little odd, but then so am I, AND IF YOU'RE GETTING THESE TRANSMISSIONS, THEN SO ARE YOU TOO -
WHAT AM I DOING HERE? What's been going on with the Zaibatsu corp? well I've hacked into the police files for the leaders of the Zaibatsu and attempted to get some more info on them, and I've got a company profile, and it turns out the public and private image of Zaibatsu Corporation, is, er, somewhat different. Along with more fingers in more pies than your average pie fingerer, it turns out not all of their activities are strictly legal, and above board. Genetic Modification and vicious cloning experiments, leisure narctotics, and piles sensitive toilet paper, vans and cars, this is legal pleasure seeking, and all well and good, but armaments? They don't have the license to manufacture weaponry. Now, everyone knows a license can be bought pretty cheap, so why haven't they got one? And intellectual enhancement? I mean everyone heard the rumours, and a lot of people claimed to have undergone the experience, but nobody really believes in it. It's just an urban myth, like blue skies, and healthy babies and fertile men. That stuff just doesn't happen. Why doesn't that woman call me? Where's my assistant when I need him? Does anyone know what's going on?

ist im Gegensatz zum normalen "GTA London" auch alleine lauffähig und soll angeblich nur in London erhältlich sein (stand zumindest auf der Packung)

Also GTA mag ich irgendwie nicht. Aber Rockstar find ich trotzdem Klasse.

Vor Allem wegen Manhunt (hoffe so auf einen zweiten Teil), Tischtennis (im Multiplayer eine Wucht) und hoffe natürlich auf ein cooles Bully.

Ich kann mit Rockstar nun nicht soviel anfangen, nur Vice City liebe ich von ihnen und SA mag ich aber sonst gab es kein Spiel von ihnen dem ich was abgewinnen konnte.
Bully ist interessant und ich spiele mit dem Gedancken mir Red Dead Revolver zu holen da ich Western-Fan bin aber insgesamt stimme ich mit den Lobeshymnen hier kein bischen überein.

Gun hab ich schon und finde es sehr gut aber wenn Red Dead Revolver nicht so gut wie Gun ist werde ich woll erstmal zu Call of Juarez greifen.

den ersten teil hab ich mal kurz angespielt und fand ihn ganz nett aber für nen rockstar game eher schwächer (glaub das spiel wurde auch nicht von rockstar zu ende gebracht sondern von anderen entwicklern).. deswegen wird teil 2 bestimmt besser

was ich auch will ist ein neues midnight club für next gen, ich fand midnight club immer genial.. neben nfs der beste arcade racer imho, vor allem teil 3 remix wo man auch in tokio fahren konnte

ich finde Gun zwar besser, aber RDR findet man teils schon für 10 bis 15€, und für den Preis finde ich es absolut ok
