Next Neptunia Game Is Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP

Another year, another Neptunia game. Compile Heart may be developing a different kind of Neptunia title for 2013. Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP was teased in Japanese magazines this week. Details like the game’s genre and platform(s) were not announced.
Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP will be revealed next week. NIS America will release Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, a PS3 RPG with an ’80s setting, in North America and Europe next month.

Next Neptunia Game Is For PlayStation Vita [Update: Release Date Added]

Dengeki PlayStation followed up with more news about Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP. The magazine announced the game will be released for PlayStation Vita. Details about what kind of game this is have not leaked online yet.

NIS America has been pretty committed to localizing the Neptunia titles, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see them release this one, too.

Meanwhile, Hyperdimesion Neptunia Victory is scheduled to come out next week. Sato has been playing the English version for a couple of weeks so we’ll have more on that soon.

Update: Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP is slated for release on June 20. The game will cost 6,279 yen in stores or 5,300 yen on PlayStation Network. Compile Heart will also sell an 8,379 yen limited edition.

Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP Is An Idol Game Set In Gamindustri

We should’ve guessed by the title alone, but Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP to my surprise is not a role playing game. It’s kind of like Idolmaster meets Gamindustri.

The player is a producer and you get to choose four CPUs you want to make a show with. In the game’s adventure mode you can increase the parameters for each CPU and build up their status as an idol. And if the conditions are just right one of the CPUs turned into an idol might just fall in love.

Compile Heart used the PlayStation Vita’s touch screen… to let players touch the CPUs. The CPUs have different actions and voiced lines depending on where you tap them. Tamsoft, the maker of Dream C Club, is co-developing the game and handling the 3D modeling. Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP also has live mode for performances.

Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP is slated for release on June 20 in Japan.

Aus den Informationen kann man entnehmen, dass es sich bei diesem Titel um einen Spin-Off der Neptunia-Reihe handelt. Die Hinweise bestätigen die Vermutungen, dass es sich um ein Idol Simulationsspiel und nicht um ein RPG handelt. Folgende Beschreibungen wurden zum Spiel auf der Internetseite veröffentlicht:

Übernehme die Rolle des Produzenten der vier Göttinnen.
Entwickle die Göttinnen zu Idolen, indem ihre Statuswerte im Abenteuer-Modus erhöht werden.
Abhängig von den Bedingungen, kannst du eine romantische Beziehung mit einer Göttin eingehen.
Nutze die Fähigkeiten der PS Vita, um die Göttinnen zu berühren und verschiedene Laute zu hören.
Das Spiel wird in gemeinschaftlicher Arbeit mit Tamsoft entwickelt, zu dessen letzten Projekten Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus und Dream Club gehören.

Das Spiel wird in Japan am 20. Juni in einer Standard-Edition für 6.279 Yen (ca. 50€) und in einer limitierten Version für 8.379 Yen (ca. 67€) für die PlayStation Vita erscheinen. Diese Edition bietet neben dem Spiel einen Comic (gezeichnet von Saimaru Bamyuuda), eine CD, einen PS Vita Skin-Sticker (Vorbestellerbonus) und ein besonderes Stativ. Aus der Dengeki PlayStation gibt es heute einige Informationen zu Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP (God Dimension Idol Neptune PP) , die das Gameplay und die Umgebung im Spiel betreffen. Die Handlung findet in der bekannten Welt Gamesindustri statt. Hier hat sich vor einiger Zeit ein regelrechter Idol-Boom ausgebreitet. Die Story verläuft parallel zu den vorherigen Spielen der Neptunia-Reihe. Ein Feind, der als “MOB48″ bekannt ist und der sich wohl auf AKB48 (japanische Mädchengruppe) bezieht, tritt gegen die Göttinnen als Konkurrenz für die Quoten an.

Bisher wurden vier Charaktere für den Titel angekündigt. Dazu gehören Neptune, Noire, Blank und Vert. Auf einigen Bildern wurde ebenfalls Nepgear gesichtet, doch es fehlt noch eine offizielle Bestätigung. Die Ergebnisse einer Live-Bühnenshow sind von verschiedenen Faktoren abhängig. Es wird notwendig sein, die Quoten von MOB48 während einer Show zu übernehmen.

Es existieren vier verschiedene Arten von Live-Stages. Die Mädchen können sich innerhalb einer Show verwandeln. Eine Umwandlung hat einen Effekt auf ihre Stimmen. Zum Beispiel wird Noire nach ihrer Transformation nicht mehr dazu in der Lage sein, die Lieder zu singen und kann in diesem Fall Hilfe anfordern. Der Spieler kann die Göttinnen bekleiden und seine Lieblingsoutfits für die Dame aussuchen. Die Kamera ist während diesen Szenen vollfunktionstüchtig.

The Neptunia Idol Game Is Essentially Idolm@ster Set In Gamindustri

Namco Bandai localized the The Idolm@ster Shiny Festa titles into English, but the ones we have on iOS are actually rhythm games. Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP is more like a classic Idolm@ster game since you play as a producer in charge of Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert.

The goal of Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP is to get fans. You can send Neptunia and the CPUs out by picking the "business" option from the main menu. There are events, media shows, and other publicity stunts you can do to promote the Neptunia idol troupe. If you want to give the CPUs a break you can select "off" which also lets you see scenes of the idols talking. Pick "lesson" and you can increase the girl’s stats. You can also select "move" to relocate your office to get fans in other regions.

When it’s time to perform you can select live mode. The CPUs will take the stage to sing and dance. You can pick costumes for the CPUs. The CPUs that perform can increase their share in the region their act is in. There are times when monsters like the Dogoo will come on stage too in Unlimited Live events.

In addition to the four main CPUs, Nepgear, Uni, Ram, and Rom will appear in Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP.
