GC - Games Convention Leipzig 08

hmm die gc könnte recht interesant werden. ich hoffe mal das es nicht die letzte große messe auf deutschem boden wird. imo wäre es typisch für deutschland, wenn sich jetzt weiterhin leipzig und köln kloppen und dadurch 2 kleinere messen entstehen, die dann vlt in zukunft gegen eine messe in london oder paris verlieren...

wie gesagt wäre typisch deutschland...
 
Ach für Sony-Fans wird die GC ne Ownage.

Es werden je 3 Games für PS3 + PSN + PS2 + PSP angekündigt, die der Menschheit fasst die Augen aus den Köpfen kugeln lässt. Das führt dazu, dass die Verkaufszahlen dieser 3 Konsolen blitzartig in die Höhe schießen und die Verkäufe von DS, Xbox360 + Wii innerhalb eines Monats in den Keller fallen. Viele verkaufen diese sogar, um sich mit Playstations zu versorgen. :scan:





Ach, ich will einfach nur Heavy Rain sehen :P

da hast du auf jeden fall recht. Deutschland hat eben zuviel Großstädte die sehr viel Einfluß haben. Bei Frankreich wäre das klar Paris, London für England, Rom für Italien und Madrid für Spanien. Hier kloppen sich alle, Ost und West, Süden und Norden, vieles sollte imo einfach in Berlin stattfinden. Die Loveparade funktioniert allerdings auch in verschiedenen Städten, nur wenn man International großen Erfolg haben möchte sollte man sich imo auf eine Stadt einigen. Man könntejährliche Wechsel allerdings gut kommunizieren, aber mit guter Werbung ist es bei uns ja auch nicht weit her.

Weniger ist wohl der Wille nach eingen Events der Grund der Abwesenheit, sondern eher Mittel zu Zweck.
Welche Strategie N mit DS und Wii für die Öffentlichkeit verfolg haben sie mit der E3 zum wiederholten male bewiesen, und für den Erfolg für diese Strategie ist die GC der falsche Ort mit den falschen Leuten.

Wenn auf dieser E3 Alan Wake, Twisted Metal, Heavy Rain, Tomb Raider, Prototype, Brütal Legand ( ja, mit Metal Umlaut ;-) ) , Infamous, Mirros Egde und wie sie doch alle heißen und ich vergessen habe neu präsentiert oder besser spielbar wären wurde mir einer abgehen. Hoffe nur das unser Stadtfest nicht zu geichen Zeit stattfindet, sonst werde ich wohl nich anwesend sein :-(
 
kann mir einer sagen ob namco dabei ist? weil die gc nach dem sc4 release ist und ich endlich was von tekken 6 sehen bzw wissen will!
 
Rumour: I Am Alive to debut in Leipzig
VG247 has been reliably informed this morning that Ubisoft’s first-person survival game, I Am Alive, will make its first proper appearance at Game Convention in Leipzig next month.

Ubisoft has declined to comment on the talk, saying it has no information on the game.

I Am Alive was announced at E3 last week. I first CGI teaser was seen at the show which does nothing more than outline the game’s premise, a post-earthquake scramble for survival in San Francisco.

Games Convention takes place on August 20-24.

Sony promises Leipzig ‘blockbuster’

SCEE President David Reeves sets sights on Game Convention for key global and Euro announcements
After a solid but unspectacular E3 outing, Sony now plans to dominate proceedings at Leipzig as it concentrates on splitting its key announcements across E3, Games Convention and the Tokyo Games Show.

At an exclusive European media briefing, SCEE president David Reeves told MCV that global announcements and ‘blockbuster’ revelations will emerge from the Leipzig event, and even backed the possibility of a London-based show.

“It’s not just Euro-centric – there will be some global announcements,” said Reeves. “The announcements we make will be more important for the local markets that come to Leipzig.

"And it’s not just Leipzig, it’s Game Convention – if we had one in London we’d do it in London. We have a number of things which is real blockbuster stuff for Europe.”


Reeves also explained that the platform holder will continue to spread its most high profile messages across the three key territories to ensure Sony gets the maximum impact in each of these areas.


“We feel now that we have a pattern globally which is E3, Tokyo Games Show and Leipzig – it gives us three bites of the cherry to come out with our announcements. We cannot tailor all our announcements to July.”

Fallout 3 to have "big presence at Leipzig"

Speaking to VG247 today, Bethesda’s Peter Hines has confirmed that anticipated RPG Fallout 3 will be hitting Games Convention with a bang next month.

“Yup, we’ll have a big presence at Leipzig,” he said. “That presence will take different forms for press and public, just for the purposes of scope, but we’ll definitely be there. Should be fun.”

Leipzig’s Games Convention takes place in East Germany from August 20-24.

“Fallout 3″ and “big” are concepts getting used to being in the same room, with the game taking second billing only to Gears of War 2 in the Microsoft press conference at E3 last week.

Uncharted 2 at Leipzig?
Ever since it was first announced a couple of years ago, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune has won the hearts of many Playstation gamers; it was the sole reason for me personally buying a Playstation 3. The game centers around Nathan Drake on his action-packed adventure, searching for the fabled treasure of El Dorado, and since its launch in November 2007, it’s been an instant hit with sales reaching nearly 2 million worldwide.

With Naughty Dog creating such a rich, vast world with interesting characters, it comes to no surprise that a sequel could well be in the works. Videogaming247 picked up on a French interview in which Christophe Balestra, Vice-President of Naughty Dog, “confirms” that Uncharted 2 is in fact in development. The interview originates from French website Gamekyo.com with a translation below:
“One expected it and Christophe Balestra, Vice-President of Naughty Dog, officially confirms it at the time of an interview with LCI: very good Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune will have right to its continuation, of course better according to statements’ of the creators. One awaits the first images and information.”​
Now before you say, "Hey, TGR, this is old," we do know that the interview is from January, 2008. So why bring it up now?

Because of this: a certain David Reeves saying that there will be twelve announcements at Leizpig, and we will put money down that Uncharted 2 will make an appearance in trailer form during the Sony press conference. How do we know? Just trust us.

Das wäre aber rasend schnell, wenn ND in nicht mal 12 Monaten wieder ein Uncharted aus dem Boden stampfen würde. Einen MP möchte ich nicht, die sollen sich mal schön auf den SP konzentrieren.

das waere nicht rasend schnell das waere normal ;) naughty dog bringen fast immer ein game pro jahr,genauso wie insomniac,war zu ps1 und ps2 zeiten auch schon so

waere natuerlich geil wenn sony die bombe platzen laesst und uncharted 2 noch zu weihnachten fertig wird ^^

naja 1. würde das ja noch kein 08er release bedeuten und 2 müssten sie an der Engine eh kaum was ändern, da diese immernoch absolut top ist^^

Peter Dille, Senior Vice President bei Sony Computer Entertainment America, hat in einem Interview mit der Webseite Gameinformer beiläufig erwähnt, dass Killzone für die PlayStation 3 noch in diesem Jahr - genauer gesagt in der zweiten Jahreshälfte - erscheinen wird.

Seit dem viel beachteten Trailer von der E3 2005 hat man von dem Shooter nichts mehr gesehen - weder Bilder noch Videos. Allerdings behauptete Sonys Phil Harrison kürzlich, die Qualität des fertigen Spiels würde die des Trailers bereits jetzt übertreffen.

06.05.08 Kommt erst im Februar 2009
Das ist eine Enttäuschung: Sony hat auf dem PlayStation Day in London den Releasetermin von Killzone 2 bekannt gegeben. Erst im Februar 2009 soll der Shooter erscheinen, der eigentlich noch dieses Jahr geplant war und seit seinem ersten Trailer-Auftritt zum grafischen Politikum wurde.

Juhu Hideo kommt mal wieder nach Leipzig, muss echt mal schauen ob ich dieses Jahr mal irgendwie hinkomm.
