Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden was announced today by Bandai Namco Games for the Nintendo 3DS and it will be making its way to Europe, Middle-East and Australasia on October 16th and the Americas on October 20th. The game will contain the following features:

Over 100 characters from the Dragon Ball Z universe including fan favorites such as Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, Freiza and Cell! Play as characters from the new Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F’ animated film
Developed by Arc System Works, a fan-favorite fighting game developer
Fast-paced 2-D fighting engine – Perform advanced ground & air combos
Form your ultimate Dragon Ball Z team and command them in a Team Battle! Re-create legendary showdowns from the animated series!
Call upon z-assist characters in the midst of battle to take gameplay to a whole new level!

Multiple Game Modes:

Z-Story – Play the game as one of your favorite Dragon Ball Z characters
Adventure Mode – Take on missions across eight regions where you can find gear and companions
Extreme World Tournament – Become the World Tournament Champion in this extremely challenging mode
Battle Mode – Select a character and battle against CPU opponents
Versus Mode – Battle another player via local wireless connection
Quest Mode – Create, view and trade Guild Cards via StreetPass

Take a look at video from the Japanese version of the game, which was released on June 11, 2015. It’s unclear if anything will differ for the Western versions, but if it does, we hope to let you know right here on Saiyan Island!

Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden Gets Its First English Trailer

With Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden coming to North America and Europe this October, Bandai Namco Entertainment has released the first trailer for the upcoming 3ds-exclusive anime fighter Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden. The trailer pretty much features both Z-Warriors and villains in action as well as give details on their specialty. We also get to see the support character system, with some pre-made teams in action.

Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden will be releasing in October for Nintendo 3DS. Check out the trailer below:

Also das ist doch ziemlich Retro, es ist doch streng genommen eine aufgebesserte SNES Version des Spiels, glaube das der Part damals in DE nicht erschienen ist. Damals kannte die Allgemeinheit DBZ noch nicht.
 
Ich hab eigentlich nicht vor mir das Spiel zu kaufen, aber die Demo werde ich trotzdem gerne mal anspielen :D

Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden is available on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan. It is scheduled to release in Europe and Australia October 16th, and in North America October 20th, 2015.

Dragon Ball Z Extreme Butoden ist ein extrem minimalistischer Fighter für Nintendos 3DS. Jeder Charakter spielt sich gleich und Kampfanimationen wiederholen sich ständig. Die 2D-Sprites sind teilweise nicht schlecht detailliert, passen sich im Ganzen aber doch dem Mut-Zur-Lücke-Stil des Spiels an. Von den versprochenen über 100 Charakteren sind nur ein Bruchteil spielbar und der Großteil der Dragon-Ball-Charaktere muss sich mit dem Dasein eines Support-Kämpfers abfinden.

Die zwei Modi, welche eine Story beinhalten sind in Knappheit kaum zu übertreffen. Serien-Neulingen fehlen zahlreiche Informationen und Kenner können bei dieser Umsetzung nur den Kopf schütteln. Der Abenteuer-Modus versucht etwas Abwechslung hineinzubringen, doch scheitert an undurchsichtigen Erklärungen und teilweise zu leichten Kämpfen. Soundtechnisch werden zwar passende Lieder geboten, doch die gefühlten drei Lieder machen den Braten auch nicht fett. Hoffentlich bleibt uns eine Welle an teuren Charakter-DLCs erspart, denn Dragon Ball Z Extreme Butoden ist in der derzeitigen Form nicht mal den Vollpreis wert. Extreme Fans könnten hingegen gefallen an der 2D-Optik und dem Online-Kampf finden.
 
4players Test

Unglaublich! Wie kann man ein nur derart leichtes Prügelspiel veröffentlichen? An wen richtet sich der Titel? Dreijährige? Die dürfen es mit der USK-Freigabe ab 12 doch nicht mal spielen. Irgendwer bei Arc System Works, Namco Bandai oder in der Testabteilung hat hier gewaltig Mist gebaut. Dragonball Z: Extreme Butoden lässt sich bequem durchspielen, indem man einfach nur auf den A-Knopf hämmert. Vielleicht langt es ja auch, eine dieser automatisch pickenden Vögel aus Physik-Shops neben den 3DS zu stellen? Die KI stellt sich hier derart dämlich an, dass man sie einfach mit Energie-Projektilen auf Abstand halten kann. Sogar im Nahkampf hat man mit bloßem Button-Mashing eine gute Siegchance. Manche Figuren wie Kid Boo kämpfen mitunter sogar mit der Luft – ganz große Unterhaltung! Bei so viel künstlichem Wahnsinn können auch gute Ansätze wie der üppige Umfang oder die hübsch inszenierten Spezialattacken wenig retten. Lediglich gegen einen menschlichen Gegner sind spannende Matches möglich. Da es nicht einmal einen Online-Modus gibt, seid ihr meist auf die idiotische KI angewiesen.
