Selbst die 299,- für das Premium Bundle im Moment ist wirklich gut. Ich denke das Microsoft mit dieser Aktion ne ganze Menge gerissen hat.
Reaction to the Elite's announcement has been negative, says research group
Internet-based research has found that the buzz regarding the recently announced Xbox 360 Elite system has so far been negative, although intent to purchase the system still remains high.

While the official unveiling of the Xbox 360 Elite may have made a huge splash earlier in the week, some marketing entities have pointed out that reception for the upgraded system has been less than positive. A message sent to us by BrandIntel, a research company focused on "online market intelligence solutions", has reported that "the Elite is landing with more questions and frustration than excitement."
Their findings are printed below:
* Overall sentiment for the Elite is negative, and is currently below the positive sentiment garnered by the Wii and the Playstation 3. Although perception of the system is negative, the intent to purchase an Elite is still positive, with 48 percent of gamers who made statements regarding purchasing, suggesting that they would purchase a system.
* Many gamers do not perceive value in purchasing an Elite, and do not feel the addition of HD capabilities and a 120 GB hard drive is worth the new price tag. This lack of value generated 18 percent of Elite-based discussion.
* There is a good deal of frustration from current 360 owners regarding the timing of the product.
* The Elite's HD features and additional hard drive capacity only generated 7 percent of the discussion each, with that discussion being very evenly split in favor or against the features.
BrandIntel claims that much of their analysis has been derived from online, consumer-published content found in the "online gaming world". This includes the myriad of gaming-related bloggers, forums, and web sites that speckle the internet landscape

Hier einige Details:
"Yes, in fact, we are working on putting Metal Gear Solid 4 on the Xbox 360 and PC, which should both come out roughly 6 months after the PS3 release. However, we've been working with Microsoft so the 360 and PC versions will both take advantage of Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live, with such features as achievements and the ability for 360 and PC owners to play against each other in multiplayer.
I'd love to give you some more details, but this is already pushing it. We are making the big announcement July 11th at this year's E3, so you'll just have to wait until then. Sorry"

It's been too long since we've had a Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots update, so, thankfully, GamePro managed to grab a few minutes of face time with Hideo Kojima, where he dodged almost every question until the interviewers gave up asking about Metal Gear and focused on Kojima. We learn a couple of interesting bits, including Kojima's personal interest in working on both Xbox 360 and the PC -- plus, he maintains he will make a Wii game at some point. He's been saying that for a while, though.
"Well, yes, I do have strong interest in creating something for the Xbox 360. In the US and Europe, it is selling, and I think it will sell a lot this year as well. I'm a fan of Gears of War as well, it's very interesting. Frankly speaking, I want to create something on the PC. It's a multi-platform [format]. I've been regularly studying work on the PC anyways, and I want to provide something as a world-wide platform because of the consequences with timing on the PlayStation platforms, MGS4 is actually for the PS3 only so far."
Also buried within the interview is a comment about the status of online multiplayer, a feature introduced in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, where Kojima admits even he isn't sure about what's happening because Sony has yet to outline their online plans to him. Weird.
"Well, actually, Sony has not really spoken with us about their online plans. What I have is Metal Gear Online, and I'm always thinking of how we can conduct this plan on the Sony platform."
You better not be the reason MGS4 misses its 2007 release date, Sony.
Runaway sales of new PS3 beat all expectations
April 1, 2007

Johannesburg - Consumers should not expect price cuts on the Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) gaming console soon, especially after the console almost sold out all units at the first weekend of the launch, said Ster Kinekor games chief executive David Hadassin.
A source from Ster Kinekor said about 10 000 units were shipped in for the launch last Friday.
"There are about one or two retailers still with 40 to 50 left, which are expected to sell by end of this week, as each store is selling over 40 consoles a day," the source said.
Hadassin said 2 million units were supplied globally and were selling at a retail price of about R6 300 with a 60 gigabyte hard drive, built-in wireless and a Blu-ray DVD player for high-definition television systems.
"The Blu-ray disc storage capacity was 77 times more than the traditional CD and six times more than a normal DVD," Hadassin said.
The console could compute data 35 times more than Sony PlayStation 2.
Sony said a 20 gigabyte model would follow later in the year. This would depend on demand.
David Hirsch, the merchandise director of Incredible Connection, said the company did not receive enough stock and sold more units than expected.
"We sold at least 80 percent of our received stock since the launch," said Hirsch.
Hadassin said the stock would be shipped in weekly starting from this week in batches of thousands to meet the demand.
However, the source said the shipment normally took six to eight weeks to be delivered in from warehouses around the world.
